I found this program on my laptop that lets me update my blog directly from my desktop without having to go the site. Thought I’d give it a whirl.
Looks pretty simple.
Got a new haircut today, here’s a picture.
That was easy. :0)
Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving I’ll take a minute to state some things I am thankful for:
God’s provision and grace
God’s Word
Celebrating my 30th birthday with my Grandmother
Opportunities to serve God – teaching, coaching, basketball, youth group, UCC praise team, Youth Sunday School
Peace that passes all understanding
A job where I have freedom to share about Christ
Comfort during hard times
A Faithful God who understands me better than I understand myself
Friends, Coworkers, Family who speak truth into my life
People who make me laugh or encourage me when I get down
My list could go on and on. I am easily distracted and forget to give thanksgiving, but just like we discussed last week during Sunday School –even when we don’t agree with or understand what God has given us – it is ALWAYS for the best. His gifts are always good. His ways are perfect.
1st Chronicles 29: 13
“Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.”
2 Samuel 22:47
“The Lord lives! Thanks be to my rock!May God, the rock of my salvation, be glorified.”
Psalm 52:9
“I will give thanks to you forever for what you have done.In the presence of your godly people,I will wait with hope in your good name.”
Colossians 2:7
“Sink your roots in him and build on him. Be strengthened by the faith that you were taught, and overflow with thanksgiving.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18
”Whatever happens, give thanks, because it is God’s will in Christ Jesus that you do this.”
Happy Thanksgiving to all and to all a good night! :)
